Game Day Seasonal Associate - Hammes Notre Dame Bookstore - B8442
Hourly Rate of $15.00 an Hour PAID WEEKLY!
This position is to support the Notre Dame Bookstore during home football games. The game weekends are: 9/7, 9/21, 9/28, 10/12, 11/9 and 11/16. Ideal candidates will be available to work all home games.
Available shifts each home game weekend are:
Shifts:
- Friday: All Shifts (8am – 5pm, 10am – 6pm, 1pm – 8pm)
- Saturday: Mid Shift and Closing Shifts (Anything from 10am-8pm)
- For football weekends, most shifts (with open availability) will work a full 8-hour day

Job Description:
This is a seasonal position at the campus bookstore that may require you to have availability to work on a weekly basis for a period of less than 90 days with occasional weekends, and flexibility in scheduling for opening, midday, or closing shifts. Seasonal employees can work in one or a variety of departments and are typically scheduled to work varying or set schedules on a weekly basis.
Expectations:
- Work every home football game weekend
- Greet customers, answer questions, and assist with the purchase of merchandise or services.
- Shelve, arrange, clean, and organize product or space within the store to maintain an appealing sales floor.
- Assist with processing sales transactions involving cash, credit, or financial aid payments.
Physical Demands:
- Frequent movement within the store to access various departments, areas, and/or products.
- Ability to remain in a stationary position and stand for the duration of your shift.
- Frequent lifting.
- Occasional reaching, stooping, kneeling, crouching, and climbing ladders.
- Ability to lift 25-50 lbs regularly with or without reasonable accommodations
Qualifications:
- Candidates must be a minimum of 18 years of age to be considered for employment.
- High-energy, friendly personality, with strong communication skills to interact with a variety of people.
- Outstanding customer service skills to match customers to products that meet their needs.
- Basic math, keyboarding, and data entry skills.
- Flexibility in scheduling is necessary.
