Description
The Seasonal Campus Store Team Member will support the store team during a period of store closure. This role will focus primarily on packing merchandise, preparing inventory and store fixtures for removal, organizing materials, and completing other closure-related tasks. The ideal candidate is dependable, organized, comfortable with physical work, and able to work efficiently as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

The Seasonal Campus Store Team Member will provide hands-on support as the campus store prepares to close. Working alongside store leaders and teammates, this role will assist with packing and organizing merchandise, preparing items for shipment or return, moving materials throughout the store, and completing other tasks needed to support an efficient store closure.

This is a temporary, seasonal position with hours based on the needs of the store closure.

How You'll Make an Impact
  • Pack, sort, label, and organize merchandise and other store materials in preparation for the store closure.
  • Prepare merchandise for return, shipment, transfer, or other disposition as directed by store leadership.
  • Move boxes, merchandise, fixtures, and other materials throughout the store and to designated areas.
  • Assist with breaking down, organizing, and clearing sales floor and backroom areas.
  • Support inventory counts, sorting, and organization to ensure merchandise is accurately accounted for during the closure process.
  • Assist with general housekeeping and maintaining a clean, safe, and organized work environment throughout the closure.
  • Complete assigned operational and administrative tasks, including basic data entry and documentation, as needed.
  • Work closely with store leadership and teammates to complete daily closure priorities efficiently and accurately.
  • Provide basic customer assistance when needed, while the primary focus of the role remains store closure and operational support.
  • Follow all safety procedures and instructions when handling merchandise, boxes, equipment, and other materials.

What You'll Need to Succeed
  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • Previous retail, warehouse, stocking, or customer service experience preferred, but not required.
  • Dependable, punctual, and willing to take direction.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to stay organized while completing repetitive tasks.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt as closure priorities change.
  • Basic communication, math, and data entry skills.
  • Comfortable performing physical work, including lifting, carrying, packing, sorting, and moving merchandise.
  • Ability to work a flexible seasonal schedule, including varying hours based on store closure needs.

Physical Demands
  • Frequent movement throughout the store to access, sort, pack, and transport merchandise and materials.
  • Frequent lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling of merchandise, boxes, and other materials.
  • Ability to lift and carry items weighing up to 50 pounds, with or without reasonable accommodation.
  • Frequent reaching, bending, stooping, kneeling, crouching, and climbing ladders.
  • Ability to remain in a stationary position for periods of time when completing packing, sorting, or administrative tasks.
  • Routine tasks may include packing merchandise into boxes, labeling and organizing shipments, moving merchandise and fixtures, stocking or consolidating inventory, and preparing merchandise for return or transfer.
  • May be required to perform routine housekeeping duties, including dusting, sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, window cleaning, and trash removal.
  • Ability to safely perform physical tasks for extended periods throughout the workday.
